2012 Urbana Arts Grant Recipient: The U-C Mini Maker Faire!

One of the first festivals supported by an 2012 Urbana Arts Grant is the Urbana-Champaign Mini Maker Faire, occurring Saturday, April 14th at 202 South Broadway in Urbana. To get more information about the Faire, we spoke with Suzanne Linder, one of the program’s organizers.

What is the U-C Mini Maker Faire?
Here’s a description of what the Maker Faire is. Here is a video that will also provide you with anything you need to know as well.

This little guy is part of a learn-to-solder LED light kit. How cute!

Can I bring my family?
Yes! Please bring your family. It is designed to be a family event, there are activities for kids (there are kids exhibiting projects), there will be food, music, and general good cheer.

We hope you’ll have a chance to check out this family-friendly event! For more information, please visit the Maker Faire’s website.
